In
China, CPVC production has only been started, and only CPVC
pipes can be made in following three sorts:
1. CPVC pipe for high tension cable protection
There are about twenty factories to product CPVC pipe for
protecting high tension cable. Normally, vicat softening point
can be 93¡æ, color is orange, about 70¡«80% local CPVC resin
could be used for it and total output of a year is about 15000
tons.
2. CPVC pipe for hot water supply and chemical application
There are less than ten factories to produce CPVC pipe which
is used for hot water supply and chemical application. Normally
vicat softening point can be 110¡æ, color is orange or grey,
about 30¡«40 local CPVC resin could be used and the quality
to use import material is better than local material especially
for fittings as there is no special material for injection
in China.
3. CPVC pipe reinfoced by glass fibre
There are less than five factories to produce reinforced CPVC
pipe with glass fibre. This product is used for oil transportation.
standard vicat softening point is 90¡æ, work pressure can be
20MPa.
Now the quality and properies of CPVC pipe are better and
better to use local resin, but the development of application
of CPVC products will depend on manufacturers of CPVC resin
such as to use special PVC resin for producing CPVC resin
and to develop special material for injection. On the other
hand, the technology, equipment and mould for processing CPVC
should be improved, and some questions concerning material's
quality,inspection and standard should be clarified.
