It is common Knowledge that CaCO₃ has been used very generally PVC processing as a sort of filler and It has been a main way to filler CaCO₃ for decreasing production cost in PVC. But we hope urgently to solve a question which the quality of PVC products with CaCO₃ filler can be improved by a scientific and reasonable way .
The main reason that the property of PVC products filled CaCO₃ become poor is that the poor compatibility between PVC and CaCO₃, created holes and new focal point stress are on their combination surface.To improve their compatibility effectively for removing holes on their combination surface.
We can give CaCO₃ a activating treatment.

A."Hst" treatment
Formulation:
CaCO₃ 　　　　　　100phr
Hst　　　　　　　?1-3hpr
Measure:
mixing in common high speed mixer for 5-8 minutes with a temperature of melting point of "Hst"± 10⁰C
B.XH-C10 treatment (Re.page.35,No.1,2001."plastic process")
Formulation:
CaCO₃ 　　　　　　　100phr
XH-C10　　　　　　　1.2phr
Measure:
mixing in commonn high speed mixer for 8-10 minutes with a temperature of 60⁰C
The effect of B treatment is better than A,and even than other sort of coupling agent.The property of PVC products is improved obviously.Especially extension at breek can be raise more than one time. the crude CaCO₃ for filler ,thereby the cost of PVC products is lower by filling CaCO₃.
